Today Motorola launched yet another model of their affordable smartphones known as Moto E. Moto E does not offer a high-end display or a blazing fast processor or a camera that can do wonders but what it offers is affordability with a decent hardware and a price tag of $129 off contract.
In terms of design Moto E shares a lot with its family the Moto G and Moto X. It also comes in two colors including black and white. Even though the smartphone comes in only two colors it still has an interchangeable back cover that comes in 9 cheerful colors for users to select from.
Moto E has a 4.3 inch screen which supports a resolution of 540 x 960, Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz paired with Andreno 302 GPU, 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage with SD-card expansion slot, 5 MP camera on the back and a 1980mAh battery. Sadly there is no 720p recording on the smartphone and it can only record videos in 480 x 854 resolution.
What’s great about Moto E is that it’s running Android Kitkat 4.4 which means that not only does the smartphone provide you with the latest version of Android at such an affordable price but it will also go through all the things you put it through smoothly as the OS its self does not require a lot of RAM.
Motorola also guaranteed future updates with their Moto E which is a bold promise to make for such an affordable smartphone. Moto E is a great smartphone for low end markets and also offers 3G connectivity which would be great for counties like Pakistan which recently adopted 3G technology and users who would be looking for an affordable way to get their hands on 3G can rely on Moto E.
