    Penultimate is designed with the idea in mind that you can use your finger or a stylus to draw in a notebook that looks extremely realistic.  You can keep as many notebooks going as you need so that there is one for any purpose.  The app will avoid detecting your wrist so that it will not leave lines on the notepad.  You also have the option of sending your notebook as an email in a PDF doc.  The app has green, blue, dark grey, light grey, red and black ink options.  You also have the option to choose a thick, medium or thin pen line.  Select between plain paper, lined paper or graph paper.

This app will reduce your handwriting to a more normal size because it is a challenge to make handwriting small when you are writing on a screen.  When you write the iPad screen can be filled up quite quickly with large handwriting that is required with the device. This app solves that issue by correcting that problem with automatic handwriting resizing.  The app supports sharing via video output if you want to share your notes in a presentation.  It also supports AirPrint and Evernote.

You can tack board notes, photos, contacts, labels and a variety of tasks.  There are a variety of cork boards, a passcode lock and nested cork boards.   You can use this app to set up reminders and a series of notebooks.  It can be used for organizing an event, to keep a to do list, track goals.  It is an app that gives a fresh new take on keeping notes on your iPad.

    Evernote is a really useful application.  It Syncs any notes that you make across several platforms. The application is free but if you need better security and want to save more file types you will need the premium service.  This app allows you to record audio while you type.  You also have the ability to add pictures to each note to create a document.  You can use an external photo or image creation app and then export it to a photo album to use in the Evernote application.  Each note has location information which is useful when you need to find your notes.  Notes can also be tagged and organized into notebooks with a limit of 100 notebooks, but no limit on the number of notes you create.

    SoundNote is an app that records audio while you take notes.  The app can sync your audio together with notes that you make.  The app supports note taking with hand drawn sketches or through the keyboard.  The audio records in an M4A format which uses 25MB for each hour of recording. Notes can be exported through email if you want to use a different note taking app like Evernote.
