We all like playing games don’t we and to improve our gaming experience companies have been working hard to come up with better solutions. They went from using a normal display to a 3D display and then when Oculus was introduced it changed everything as virtual reality was a new step for gaming industry.
Right now Oculus Rift and Project Morpheus are the only two virtual reality platforms that are available to an average gamer but both of them come with compatibility issues and are not really what we can call a cross platform hardware. ANTVR Technology just started their own project on Kickstarters and their virtual reality kit is known as ANTVR kit.
According to ANTVR Technology “We wanted to solve the compatibility problem because all the virtual reality products on the market are not compatible with mainstream gaming platforms’’. The kit is compatible with every platform out there from PC to consoles till Android operating system which is what other virtual reality kits don’t offer. The headset of ANTVR kit is equipped with an HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 with aspherical lenses so the user won’t have any eye strains because the aspherical lenses will help the user see the whole picture in a standard 4:3 aspect ratio.
ANTVR kit also comes with its own controller which can be modified into a lot of other things including a gamepad, a gun, a lightsaber and a steering wheel. The goal of this project on Kickstarter is to raise $200,000 and donations of $86,000 has already been made in just two days with the project ending on June 23, 2014. ANTVR Technology will also come up with an SDK for developers in the future to make games especially for ANTVR Kit.
So if you are a gamer and want to support them, then go right ahead on their account and donate.
